Veterans Park – A kids play area and home to Delray Yacht Cruises (Lady Atlantic), located along intracoastal waterway off East Atlantic Avenue.
Lake Ida Park & Dog Park – A hub for local dog parents, it features acres of trails, kids playgrounds, picnic areas, boating, fishing, and many other activities.
Atlantic Dunes Park – A beach park offering beach parking, and a picnic area along A1A.
Barwick Park – Offers a playground, beautiful trails, and picnic pavilions for gatherings.
Bexley Trails and Park – Nestled within the residential community of Bexley Park, this lushly landscaped park offers plenty of shade, kids playground and extensive trails for outdoor enjoyment.
Catherine Strong Splash Park – Has barbecue grills, basketball courts, a community park, fitness trails, a gazebo, a multipurpose field, a nature trail, and more. The pavilion and picnic have a playground, restrooms, tennis courts. Wheelchair accessible.

The Sandoway Discovery Center offers a glimpse into South Florida’s fragile marine and freshwater environments through educational exhibits and programs. The nature center opened its doors in 1998 and quickly captivated the interest of students, teachers, naturalists, community leaders, visitors and residents of Delray Beach and surrounding communities. The unique facility is an exciting hands-on learning experience, which focuses on Florida’s fragile ecosystems and their inhabitants.

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands was created on 50 acres of unused utility land and transformed into a recreation wetlands open to the public. The boardwalk has interpretive signage as well as gazebos with benches along the way. This site is part of the South section of the Great Florida Birding Trail and offers many opportunities to observe birds in their natural habitats. Over 178 bird species have been identified there, along with turtles, alligators, rabbits, fish, frogs and raccoons.
