OCEAN RIDGE

The Town of Ocean Ridge is a small, beautifully landscaped and diverse seaside community built around the family and civic pride, a state of the art public services and infrastructure that enhances the natural beauty of our Town. The Town is approximately three (3) miles long and is bounded on the south by the Town of Briny Breezes, on the west by the Intracoastal Waterway and on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the north by the Boynton Inlet.

Ocean Ridge was incorporated in 1931 as the Town of Boynton Beach and changed its name in 1937 to the Town of Ocean Ridge. It is home to approximately 1,700 permanent residents and peaks to approximately 2,700 in season. Ocean Ridge is predominantly a low-density residential land use with several areas that provide for medium multi-family density and the area north of the Boynton Beach Oceanfront Park to the Boynton Inlet as high density. Commercial will be totally phased out by an ordinance adopted in the 1960’s. There are a few Public Ownership and Preservation Conservation areas.

MANALAPAN

The Town of Manalapan is a truly unique municipality of unparalleled beauty and quality of life. Snuggled on the eastern shore of one of the fastest growing areas in the State and Nation, it remains a small and quiet community. The geographical configuration of the community is unique in that two separate areas exist, contiguous only by water. That portion along A-1-A between the Lantana Public Beach and the South Lake Worth Inlet, more commonly called Boynton Inlet, is the best-known area because of travel along the main north-south highway. Sharing Hypoluxo Island with the Town of Lantana, the more secluded area of Manalapan occupies about the southern one-third of the Island.

The Town of Manalapan is a truly unique municipality of unparalleled beauty and quality of life. Snuggled on the eastern shore of one of the fastest growing areas in the State and Nation, it remains a small and quiet community dedicated to maintaining exceptional levels of service, controlled development and a conservative approach to government.

With an eye to the future, but with a significant trail from the past, the small Town of Manalapan continues to resist the pressures from large-scale developers. The Town Commission is determined to continue the vision of its founders who conceived Manalapan as essentially a low-density residential community of beauty and quality complementing its natural environment.

HYPOLUXO

Hypoluxo is nestled in the heart of Palm Beach County, Florida, on the shores of the Intracoastal Waterway. We are just minutes from West Palm Beach and a mere stone’s throw from the sandy Atlantic beaches.

The name Hypoluxo comes from the Seminole name for Lake Worth, roughly translated “water all round — no get out.”

HYPOLUXO ISLAND

Hypoluxo Island is an island on the eastern side of the south end of the Lake Worth Lagoon, an estuary which is part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway system. The island is about three miles long, but less than a quarter mile wide. It is home to fewer than 300 families and is a small, friendly community of single family homes, with no commercial properties.

The island has a small public library and a beautiful public park, both within easy walking distance. Hypoluxo Island connects to the mainland town of Lantana, Florida on the west by a short bridge across the Intracoastal waterway, and to the oceanside towns of South Palm Beach and Manalapan by way of a bridge across a smaller waterway to the east. The majority of the island is part of the town of Lantana, but the southern tip of the island is a gated community known as Point Manalapan, which is part of the town of Manalapan.
